Seize the Day Life Coaching is a professional life coaching business. Seize the Day is translated from Carpe Diem, which means to make the most of it or to take the opportunity at hand. With Seize the Day Life Coaching, the approach is to gather insight, to gain release from what holds one back, and to choose to live life fully!
Insight happens when a solution to a problem presents itself quickly and without warning as a result of seeing it in a new way, as connected to past experience, as related to another relevant problem, or in a new context. “The whole point… is to shift the ground under your beliefs so that you see things from a startlingly different point of view. It's this shift that results in less stress because the stress is being produced from your perspective. So this approach is inherently designed to challenge the way you think. The advantage to this is that it makes psychological transformation into a repeatable skill you can do on your own whenever you need to. The disadvantage is that you're going to have to argue against your own position, which takes real open-mindedness.” (Andrew Bernstein, 2010, May; www.psychologytoday.com). By seizing the day, opportunity to make the most of it is at hand and the freedom to fully experience life emerges.
Through Seize the Day Life Coaching, I propose to offer an avenue to insightful discoveries and to personal transformation opportunities as well as to guidance through life and life skills coaching and, in this, potential towards readjustment of life directions as well as release of previous or false beliefs. These would be available in both individual and group settings.
A holistic wellness approach, addressing the seven elements of Health (emotional, mental, physical, social, relational, financial, and spiritual), as well as Positive Psychology (strengths, perspective, & attitude) and Choice Psychology (behavioral & consequences), will be integrated within the coaching as each are intertwined in good health. Positive Psychology creates the foundation to receive insight. Choice Psychology generates the framework to release and progress. Each of these combined brings healthy balance and intentionality to individual lives. I also have extensive experience in the area of personal finance (budget) coaching. There is great need for this overall balanced specialized service.
I would refer clients to her without hesitation
[Liette] brings many strengths to the world of coaching. She knows how to connect with people, she has a proven questioning process and people are naturally drawn to her for assistance. She demonstrates empathy and compassion for her clients but is also prepared to hold them accountable for their own behavior... I would refer clients to her without hesitation.
Getting our first budget done flying solo. Thank you so much for all your help and support, you've made us feel confident in our ability and ready to face the future. You really are a blessing!
Thanks to Liette I followed my dream!
When I had the great fortune of meeting and getting to work with Liette I was a woman with zero self confidence, feelings of worthlessness and felt like a drain on society.
Through her I learned tools and techniques that taught me that I have value, that I have a lot of skills and knowledge that I offer and most importantly, I found self confidence. Thanks to Liette I followed a dream and went back to college. I graduated in June 2018. I couldn’t have done it without her guidance and belief in me. Thanks Liette!
A top-notch provider of education and mental health services
As a professional counsellor, who has served on the professional awards committee for the American Counseling Association, I have seen some excellent therapists. I consider Liette to be a top-notch provider of education and mental health services, who is on track to reach the top of her field.
Never did I have a client return unsatisfied
I am a Case Manager for the Department of Social Development, Income Assistance.
I have worked with Liette Collier for several years now in the capacity of her facilitating a life skills program to which I referred clients from my caseload. It was one of my most successful tools, with close to 100% percent progression rate amongst those who started the program. While Liette was not the only facilitator working the program, she was the one whom I requested for my clients, especially those who I considered to be “hard to crack” cases.
My clients, male or female, young or “older”, would return to my office and tell me how much Liette helped them and believed in them. Never did I have a client return unsatisfied.
