Seize the Day Life Coaching's group sessions strive to meet various needs and support topics as relevant to self-discovery and fullness in personal potential.

Though each of these is a group format, they are comprised of individuals who in general share thoughts and experiences, and often this can assist others in gaining insights. Moreover, by coaching for insightful discoveries, group members gain their ‘ah-ha’ moments as each are personally ready, which helps others in their own breakthroughs (somewhat comparable to a domino effect). 

Group Sessions are offered weekly or bi-weekly, allowing individuals to connect and grow together in discovery through the sharing of experience. These will cover many topics such as self-esteem, positive psychology overviews and perspectives, choosing health, as well as numerous other themes related to self-development and self-discovery.

Personal growth, or self-discovery and application, is a person’s active, intentional involvement in changing and developing as a person.

What is Health? In 1948, World Health Organization (WHO) defined health as a state of complete physical, mental, social or relational well-being and not merely the absence or disease of infirmity ( 16).  Seize the Day Life Coaching positions that Whole health is seven intertwined areas, each impacting the other.

I want to feel healthier overall! Physical Health is the general condition of a person in all aspects. What do you need to reach your healthy lifestyle goals?

I want to cope better mentally! Mental Health is a state of well-being in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community (World Health Organisation).  What’s your vision of a satisfying self-worth?

I want to feel emotionally better about life! Emotional Health is part of our overall health concerned with the way we think and feel. It refers to our sense of well-being, and our ability to cope with life events. Emotional health is about our ability to acknowledge and respect our own emotions as well as those of others (Samaritan). Your health includes your life satisfaction and joy! We can help!

I want healthy social networks! Social Health refers to that dimension of an individual's well-being that concerns how he/she gets along with other people, how other people react to him/her, and how he/she interacts with social institutions and societal mores (Yahoo! I want improved relationships! Relational Health measures the strength of relationships; measures qualities including empathy, engagement, authenticity, and empowerment (Berk, Berg, Mortimer, Walton-Moss, Yeo, 2005; Tracy, Taylor, and Williams, 2002; Andrews and Chilton, 2000; Liange; Riggs, 1997). I want a healthy financial outlook! Financial Health is the state of a person’s finances. Someone with good financial health usually deals well with their finances, makes their payments on time, and knows how to manage their money. Someone in poor financial health usually owes a lot of money and isn't making their payments on time ( #ixzz1ZuZ1nMjK).  Financial health can [also] be defined as a 'state' of wealth that can be achieved by individuals or families - irrespective of income levels ( Did you know that financial health isn’t always all about money? I want to understand the entirety of Whole Health and its relevance to my well-being. Whole Health represents a sum total of the blending of 7 elements of health.  These in totality provide the reality of my health condition as the seven elements cannot function alone.

Love: an intense feeling of deep affection. Love is complex and it’s simple. “Learning to love is really about learning to live” (Harry Harlow, 1970). Are you ready to learn to live?

Commitment: the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc. It keeps us on course (competence), enables community (need to belong), and is always chosen, never coerced (autonomy). Choice Theory is Dr. Glasser’s biological explanation of human behaviour stating that all behaviour is purposeful and chosen towards meeting our five basic needs: survival, love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun. Our Needs are genetically driven and meeting those needs is essential to our survival. We all have the same five basic needs but we can all want something different to satisfy those needs. Your Want is how you think you’ll get those needs met. Quality World is Choice Theory’s definition of where you store the pictures in your mind of the things you want and that are valuable to you.
